Tutis Restaurant & Cafe Limited is a company based small business, trading under the name of Tutis Restaurant & Bar.
The company is owned and operated by the McGovern family, Peter and Tuti Mcgovern and their daughters.
Tuti McGovern is the head chef and is originally from Indonesia and specialises in Indonesian/Singaporean Cuisine.
The company became incorporated in September 2005 as a small cafe at first, then it was closed for two years as the family wished to expand the company into a larger venture.
In 2007 a suitable site was found to build the restaurant and bar, located at 35 Beach Road, not far from Kaikoura town centre.
Tutis started operating again on the 17th of November 2009 as a new, modern and spacious restaurant and bar. A medium- size restaurant fully licensed with the capacity to fit 100 customers.
Tutis is a Cafe/ Bar by day and Restaurant/ Bar by night and is a great place to eat, drink or just relax and sample our extensive range of local and imported beers, wines and "Underground" organic coffee.
In summer we are open from 11am until late, for lunch and evening meals and range of daytime snacks, light meals and board specials.
